There is hope to resolve this and your friendly neighborhood IT Deptartment has found a solution in a very unlikely place. The source for the solution was found at, brace yourself I know that the next line after this comma is a oxymoron but hang with me, the Microsoft Help and Support web site. According to the site this is caused by an incompatibility problem between Internet Explorer 8 and any type of Roxio CD burning software. Very easy fix. Close out of all programs and do the following:
- 1. Open up the Internet Explorer browser the way you normally do
- 4. Click the "Ok" button
- 5. Internet Explorer should open up and if it does close out of it then reopen to ensure that the issue has been fixed and you may continue on browsing the net.
- 6. If after you click the "Ok" button Internet Explorer doesn't open then all you have to do is open it back up and you are on your way to browsing.
